We are pleased to share that applications are now open for the Karla Roman Travel Bursary – a £2,500 award offered by the practice annually, to support student travel that enriches design thinking.
Established in memory of architect Karla Roman, the bursary honours her belief in travel as a powerful tool to broaden architectural understanding and perspective. The bursary is open to all UK and international students studying architecture, interior design, or a related subject in the built environment (full-or part-time), at undergraduate or postgraduate level. LOM are inviting creative, thoughtful proposals for travel taking place this summer, ideally between June and November 2026.
The bursary can be used for research, design exploration, material studies, or cultural immersion – with applications judged on imagination, clarity, and financial need.
